Helping clients start and expand their businesses, defending client’s business in court and helping with payment and collection issues has been the focus of Peter’s practice since hanging out his shingle in 2006. Peter enjoys the practice of law and the complex puzzles of business transactions. One of Peter’s strongest passions is to work with clients to have them well protected as well as supported in risk mitigation. Peter believes that the earlier he can become involved, and the more collaborative he can become with his client, the better outcome his business clients experience.

Peter has significant experience in the courtroom, having worked as staff counsel for Zurich North America. When litigation is the only option, he is ready to roll up his sleeves and strategically litigate on behalf of his client. Previously, Peter worked as staff counsel for Zurich North America. He defended a wide variety of companies including construction, trucking, hotels, shopping malls, car dealerships, carwash, equipment manufacturers & distributors, landscapers, funeral homes, and restaurants against claims for tort and breach of contract.

Peter’s extensive experience includes handling cases relating to surety bonds, insurance bad faith, and worker's compensation. In law school, he clerked with a U.S. District Court Judge, the San Diego District Attorney, and the Office of the
United States Attorney in the Division of Major Frauds.

Peter is an alumni of the University of San Diego, earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in 1997 and his Juris Doctorate in 2001. He graduated from law school as a Member of the Order of the Coif (Top 5% of graduating class).

Peter grew up in Big Bear, California and is the oldest of three boys. He enjoys hiking, both at Red Rock and in Big Bear. He lived in Egypt when he was small, and has been the recipient of the occasional practical joke. Peter retains his appreciation for life and still enjoys science fiction, baseball and dinosaurs.

Amy Honodel is a Las Vegas local moving here with her family 25 years ago. She graduated from Valley High School, which is the same school that produced pitching- great Greg Maddux. Amy has consistently given back to the community by providing legal services to a number of local not-for-profits. She has also acts as pro-bono counsel for minor wards of the court. [

She attended Pepperdine University and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry in 1995. She allowed her sense of adventure to take her to Chicago, where she fell in love with the Chicago Cubs and major league baseball upon arrival. Eventually she decided chemistry was not her true love, and returned to Las Vegas to become a member of the charter class of the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law. Amy graduated magna cum laude from Boyd in 2001.

Following graduation, Amy received her first experience in litigation working for Bill Brenske and Jim Christensen, whose small firm focused on motor vehicle negligence, medical malpractice and premises liability. She participated in three trials as second chair and handled several arbitration hearings.

In 2004, Amy went to work in the Las Vegas office of the Phoenix firm of Doyle Berman Murdy. While there, she practiced insurance defense, primarily defending corporations from catastrophic injury claims, construction accidents, and insurance bad faith. Amy obtained a favorable verdict for a construction client, who was sued along with one of Peter’s clients, for personal injuries. During her time at Doyle Berman, Amy also participated as second chair in two insurance bad faith trials.

Peter and Amy started working together in May 2007, with the idea that the practice of law should be fun. Their practice has grown despite the downturn in the economy. They have taken several matters to trial in that time, developing a number of traditions while waiting for verdicts.

When she is not working, Amy enjoys playing with her son, Cameron, and three dogs, Charlie Chew, Max and Gina. She is a big fan of chocolate ice cream, baseball, and April Fools’ Day.
